Oh mortal beings, listen to my words,
For values guide us through our days on earth,
And though we may be but fleeting birds,
These ideals shall grant our lives true worth.
Respect, for all beings great and small,
To treat with kindness, as we all deserve,
Authenticity, to heed our inner call,
And be true to ourselves, never to swerve.
Responsibility, to hold ourselves accountable,
And take ownership of our actions each day,
Sustainability, to tread lightly, never insatiable,
And safeguard our planet in every single way.
Activism, to stand for what we believe,
And strive for change with unwavering zeal,
Simplicity, to find contentment and relieve,
From the chaos of life, and all that we feel.
Curiosity, to seek knowledge and explore,
The mysteries of this world we call our own,
Open-heartedness, to love and to adore,
All those around us, never to feel alone.
Creativity, to unleash our imagination,
And express ourselves in ways unique and true,
Expression, to find our voice, our vocation,
And share our stories, for others to view.
Humility, to recognize our limitations,
And to learn from those who came before,
Serenity, to find peace in our meditations,
And to seek calm in times of war.
Holism, to understand our interconnectedness,
And to see the world in its entirety,
Spirituality, to seek meaning and connectedness,
And to find solace in our divinity.
Integrity, to live by our values and our word,
And to remain steadfast in all we do,
Freedom, to live as we wish, to be heard,
And to pursue our passions, to make them come true.
Consciousness, to live in the present moment,
And to be aware of all that we create,
For through our actions, our true selves we present,
And the values we live by, shall forever dictate.
